The Story – In Brief

The story of a Phantom – hideously deformed – who hangs about in the misty catacombs beneath the Opera House, terrorizing people. The Phantom falls in love with the young soprano – Christie. He teaches Christie to sing beautifully, nurturing her talents by employing all skills at his disposal. The Phantom declares his love for her. She rebuffs his love and Raoul – her childhood friend whom she loves, intervenes. There is no limit to the Phantom’s revenge. In the climax, the Phantom offers Christie a choice: either to stay with him forever or kill Raoul.
