The story takes place in the summer of 1953 with a mother and daughters travels through Italy.

The Light In The Piazza Storyline

Taking place in 1953, after a country had been ravished from the effects of World War II. A mother and daughter decide to travel Italy's beautiful scenic countryside.


With a great musical score adding to the experience, we see Clara (played by Kelli O'Hara), the daughter attract the attention of a young man, who has fallen for her. The story moves on to show the couple incise their curiosities for each other, as the mother and daughter meet Fabrizio family.


The Light In The Piazza is an editors pick for going to a Broadway show. The performances are moving and the hope and faith of the storyline are very fresh. The show allows you to be moved and touches the audience in a very mature manor.
