Currently the Artistic Director of Hartford Stage, Michael Wilson has to his credit 21 productions. One of his directions, “Enchanted April” was nominated for the Tony award in 2003 for the best play and for 9 outer critics circle awards. This also included the Best Director award.
Star Cast
Margaret Colin as Kit and Harriet Harris as Milly steal the show with their incredible performance in “Old Acquaintance”. The play harbors some intelligent comedy depicting a turbulent friendship among people of the upper class society. Kit and Milly are booming authors. Kit gets involved with a younger man, while Milly, who is a divorcee, is overly dedicated to rearing her teenage daughter.
“Old Acquaintance” Broadway show also stars Stephen Bogardus in the role of Preston Drake, Diane Davis in the role of Dierdre Drake, Cynthia Darlow as Susan, Corey Stoll as Rudd Kendall, and Gordana Rashovich in the role of Karina.
The sets have been designed by Alexander Dodge and his team. Costumes are designed by David Woolard, light and sound effects are presented by Rui Rita and John Gromada respectively.

Harriet Harris had given a remarkable performance in “The Crucible” in 1990 and “The Man Who Came to Dinner” in 2000. She was presented with the Tony Award, in 2002, for her thrilling performance in “Thoroughly Modern Millie”. Now, you can see her make a stupendous comeback in this comedy Broadway show.

Margaret Colin is a remarkable actress, who has to her credit a nomination for Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress. Right from her Broadway debut play “Jackie”, for which she was presented the Theater World Award, Margaret continues to spell bound the audience with her flawless acting skills. Her acting in “Speaking in Tongues” and “A Day in the Death of Joe Egg” needs no wordy description.
